The minimalist illustration paired with hand designed lettering and a classic color palette truly represent this ancient and practical tool with a visual description.

Another inside design was illustrated by repeating and mirroring a series of dots and dashes that looked somehow botanical. So, I used a beautiful green that worked well.

I wanted to experiment with patterns and I created a few by combining some early sketches. The nice net or mesh design was the cover image for my first revision.

Illustrator, Photoshop and In Design

The primary target audience for Sticks chopstick are 30-year-old male individuals born in an Asian country, but have moved to the United States at an early age and currently reside in a multi-cultural and or multi generational environment.

They are typically tech-savvy professionals, value their cultural heritage, and seek ways to integrate their birth culture into their daily lives.

He works in the tech industry as an engineer, earning a respectable annual income of $130,000.

While an American citizen, they have a sense to preserve their birth country culture and honor their ancestors.

The concept for Sticks changed as the process was unfolding to appeal to most anyone with a solid visual representation for the product logo.

The product I decided on came as the answer to the question, "What besides a toothbrush will fit in this tiny toothbrush packaging?".

I tried assorted colors, weights and opacity to various elements and added some icons for the flaps of the openings.

Since the packaging was so small the large amount of negative space was helpful to the overall design.

I wanted the unpackaging to include little surprise bursts of color and design.

I did alter the dimensions slightly to allow extra room because the standard size chopsticks were slightly longer than the toothbrush.
