Murmur was a product of the college radio scene in 1983.

Named the best album of the year and one of the top one hundred albums of the 1980's was the catalyst for alternative rock.

The target audience is male college students 18-25 making $27,000 annually. They are heavy into vinyl and have confiscated their parents’ collections.

​

The concept for the design is how an indistinct murmur of nonsensical sounds and lyrics can make up a coherent thought or mood.
